I take my students all over Sioux Falls. The first day, we start in a parking lot, so you can get the feel of the vehicle by using the brake and accelerator while practicing turning. We move out of the parking lot quite quickly and onto the road. I try to take you through a variety of different intersections in order to get the most experience. I like to practice switching lanes on a very quiet, low traffic street to get used to the routine of checking your mirrors and steering softly to the next lane. After driving on wider roads, we move onto the neighborhood near Sanford and Augastana with more narrow roads. This gives you plenty of practice driving with parked cars on the side and learning to share the road with other users. On the last day, I do take you on the interstate and show you how to safely get on and off. We always drive through downtown to navigate One Way streets. By the end of 6 hours you will be a confident driver.
